Have you got just a minute? With a busy time at the Lincoln School of Media, it’s nice to take time to reflect over the Bank Holiday. So we thought it’d be lovely to share LSM’s collection on broadcast legend Nicholas Parsons CBE. This month he gave a talk at the ‘Great Minds’ Lecture, which was in association with LSM, about The English Language and the Spoken Word.
Senior Lecturer, Dylan Roys: Anyone get a picture of his shoes? … wow I want some like that.
Senior Lecturer, Chris Hainstock: we had a great talk by Nicholas Parsons CBE. Big thanks to soon-to-be-graduates Henry Willmot & Kamil Rewers for filming before and after the event, Mr P preferred the talk to be ‘live’ only so the lucky ones inside got to hear his witty and thought provoking tales. Who knew he spent 5 years as an apprentice engineer on the Clyde in Glasgow?!
Nicholas gave his opinion on direct trains from Lincoln to London. Follow the hashtag #LincolnToLondon on Twitter. LSM’s final year student Henry Willmot did the shoot – thanks!
Head of LSM and Acting Head of the College of Arts, Sarah Barrow: Fantastic – I love those last few seconds in particular!
Feel free to share about Nicholas Parsons and comment here!
