Indie-Lincs International Film Festival, held in Lincoln (UK), ‘champions low and micro budget films and filmmakers’. You can watch over 60 original films and meet the indie creatives with some Special Guests at Lincoln Performing Arts Centre (LPAC) from 15th to 18th March 2018. Organisers said: Our aim is to help the best independent filmmakers from around the world showcase their original work and network successfully with their audience, other filmmakers and the independent filmmaking community. Some events and screenings are free (like the LSFM Screening on 15th March at Uni Lincoln 7pm-9pm) and others you’ll need to pay, so check the Indie-Lincs 2018 Programme (which is subject to change) on the website. If you love a bargain (who doesn’t?), you’ll love the festival’s Weekend Pass where the ticket is only £12 and £6 for concessions. Indie-Lincs International Film Fest is supported by the University of Lincoln School of Film & Media, LPAC and Lincoln Film Society.
Indie-Lincs, now in its third year, will have some great guests for example actors John Hollingworth (Poldark/The Dark Knight Rises), Rebecca Root (Boy Meets Girl/The Danish Girl) and Steve Oram (Sightseers/The End of the F***ing World). Also award-winning scriptwriters like University of Lincoln School of Film & Media Senior Lecturer Ewen Glass.
The Indie-Lincs team has been hard at work, led by award-winning filmmaker and LSFM’s Lecturer Dr. Mikey Murray (pictured with a hat).
