I created The Be Nice Project to simply spread some love and wish you and anyone who watches to have a nice day!

If I had never set foot in that small television studio at Lincoln University, I wonder if I would be doing the job I do today.

We are now on Twitter, so if you are too, standby for lots of tweets, and do join in if you like. We are already following alumni e-mail contacts, and we hope this will be a good way to flag up new blog posts. Click here or on the Twitter button on the sidebar, just under the tag cloud to get started.
If you are looking for a new job or freelance work, why not promote yourself on this blog?
Send your advertisement to us at lismalumni@googlemail.com, together with a suitable picture and your current CV, and we’ll publish them for you – free. Links to show reels, photo albums etc. are fine too.
Also, from time to time we get enquiries from local organisations looking to commission professional media products – video, photography, animation etc. Watch out for notices on this blog!
A few months ago we went on location with LSM graduates Nick Loven and Chris Roberts, not to mention Nick’s mum and Chris’ sister, costumier Pauline Loven – collectively Crow’s Eye Productions.
Based in Lincoln, Crow’s Eye specialises in Lincolnshire heritage, and earlier this year we caught up with them on a cold and misty day at Goltho Church near Wragby, rehearsing scenes inspired by Fiona Mountain’s novel “Lady of the Butterflies“. Nick and Chris reflected on their work:
Meet Nick and Chris at our first Alumni Day, November 10. Continue reading
My name’s Kirsty and I’m a 2009 graduate from the University of Lincoln with a 2:1 in Media Production. I loved every minute of my time there. I met some great people, I had the best nights out and most importantly I learned a great deal about making great productions. Continue reading
Wednesday 8 September 2010. My first graduation day at Lincoln. I’d been looking forward to this day since finding out last December that I’d got the post of Head of School of Media, and realising that this would soon become my ‘home’ city. Continue reading
To mark the network’s first birthday, we invite all LSM graduates, students and staff to our first alumni day. It’s scheduled for November 10, in the new enterprise@lincoln building on the Brayford campus.
Many of you have told us how much you would like to come back to meet up in Lincoln, so here’s your chance.
The fun starts at 1 pm. There will be a Question Time session, when an audience get to quiz an alumni panel, informal drop-in sessions where students and graduates can chat in confidence, a tour of the media building to see the latest developments, and plenty of time to socialise. And you are welcome to take photographs, video or audio clips – especially if you can share them with us.
If you would like to come along, either to be a Question Time panelist, or to take part in the drop-in sessions, or just to be there, please contact us as soon as possible so we can get an idea of how many we need to accommodate on the day.
