Membership Assistant (Temporary Contract)
British Academy of Film and Television Arts
£18,500, central London
This position is offered in the first instance for the period April-July 2010, with the possibility of extension or permanent contract for the right candidate.
BAFTA is the leading UK organisation promoting and rewarding excellence in the art forms of the moving image which today encompass film, television and video games.
BAFTA is also a membership based organisation and has 6500 members worldwide made up of the very best practitioners in the film, television and video games industries. We now seek an energetic Membership Assistant to support us during our renewals and application period.
The role will be the primary contact for enquiries from BAFTA Members and prospective members during this period, and will be responsible for the processing of new members and renewal payments.
You will be able to work as part of a small team, but have the aptitude to self-manage and prioritise tasks. You should be able to demonstrate excellent organisational skills, good attention to detail and accuracy, and have strong written and verbal communication skills. Some experience with databases and customer service would be useful, as would some knowledge of the film, television or video games industries.
