Meet the Graduates: LSM AlumniFest 2010

In organising the first ever Lincoln School of Media’s ‘Meet the Graduates’ event I have sourced a variety of content from our alumni – from graduation day photos and shots at work to interviews with us in the studio and on location. As part of my Masters [in digital media] I decided to experiment with convergence in some media technological areas I had not done before. After trying to squeeze a lot of practice into a short space of time here is my digital mash up to promote the AlumniFest on Wed 10 Nov 2010.

Tweet tweet

The distinction between songs and calls is based upon complexity, length, and context. Songs are longer and more complex and are associated with courtship and mating, while calls tend to serve such functions as alarms or keeping members of a flock in contactWe are now on Twitter, so if you are too, standby for lots of tweets, and do join in if you like. We are already following alumni e-mail contacts, and we hope this will be a good way to flag up new blog posts. Alumni day

To mark the network’s first birthday, we invite all LSM graduates, students and staff to our first alumni day.  It’s scheduled for November 10, in the new enterprise@lincoln building on the Brayford campus.

enterprise@lincolnMany of you have told us how much you would like to come back to meet up in Lincoln, so here’s your chance.

The fun starts at 1 pm. There will be a Question Time session, when an audience get to quiz an alumni panel, informal drop-in sessions where students and graduates can chat in confidence, a tour of the media building to see the latest developments, and plenty of time to socialise. And you are welcome to take photographs, video or audio clips – especially if you can share them with us.

If you would like to come along, either to be a Question Time panelist, or to take part in the drop-in sessions, or just to be there, please contact us as soon as possible so we can get an idea of how many we need to accommodate on the day.
