Female graduates still earn less than men

According to a new study published last week, female graduates can expect to earn thousands of pounds a year less than male graduates with similar qualifications. This is not a new story – “Underlying all of the analyses… is the fact that male graduates earn more than females. We drew attention to this in our studies of the 1995 and 1999 graduating cohorts. The same results are still in evidence some 10 years later.”
What does this mean for our graduates and students? If you have personal experience of pay inequality among media graduates, or you simply want to air an opinion, please do submit a comment!

Thomas Morris, class of 2011

As soon as I graduated in 2011 with a BA (Hons) in Media Production I applied for a Master in Historical Studies at the University of Lincoln. I have always been passionate about History and it is my dream job to produce Historical documentaries.
