Our short film ‘The Third One This Week’ completed the festival circuit after screening at South by South West, the Hamptons and winning a jury prize at Cergy-Pontoise International Student Festival. Launched online for free and became Vimeo Staff Pick.

Michael Henry Update, Summer 2012

The past twelve months have been the best of my life. A lot has happened – I filmed my third feature film ‘I WORK’, traveled the world, set up the Quandary Productions Filmmaker Support Scheme (soon to become the ‘Artist Support Scheme’ as we are now helping actors, artists, musicians, and comedians, as well as filmmakers), we’ve helped countless people both through the scheme and by supporting charities worldwide, the ‘I WORK’ release was met with hordes of incredible feedback and has received a remarkable following online, and we’re now gearing up for our next (fourth) feature film over the next couple of months.

3D Film Competition

Nintendo 3ds xl and the bfi present a Vision in 3d: 3d short filmmaking competition now open.

A Vision in 3D competition Figurehead Ridley Scott says: “Digital and 3D filmmaking is within the grasp of everyone these days. I’m excited by all the skill and talent that’s emerging in the UK, telling stories in different ways and it’s vital that it gets our support. This competition launched by the BFI and Nintendo opens up a big opportunity for emerging filmmakers to make their mark and they should grab it with both hands. I can’t wait to see the results.”

First Career Steps – Matt North

Having finished my degree in Audio Production, I am currently working for Ideal Shopping Direct as a Technical Operator. The company broadcasts over four channels and its main channel, Ideal World, is live 17 hours a day. My main responsibilities within my role are varied and alongside operating audio for the shows, I am learning new skills in different roles such as Floor Technician, Video Controller and Camera Operation. Lincolnshire Festival need Volunteers

Volunteers are needed for Wolds Words – Lincolnshire Festival of Reading, Writing and Performance.  Mike Mason said this is great to put on your CV! Also travel and lunch are provided!

‘The festival, based in Louth, will feature across the area in a range of venues in the surrounding market towns of Alford, Horncastle and Spilsby. It merges world class artists and performances alongside a more local community based programme.’

Volunteers Needed

Events Assistants – Advising the public of the events taking place,
helping to set up stalls, workshops, events.

Wolds Words Information Office – To assist at the information office
in the run up to the festival and on the festival itself. Helping to
promote the festival to the local community.

Evaluate Assistants – To record feedback from the festivalgoer’s ,
possibly with the use of a recording device
