From Head of School Sarah Barrow:
We’re thrilled to announce that this year we have received 3 Regional Award Nominations for student final year film & animation projects produced during 2009-10.
Jordan (class of 2009) writes:
I have a huge favour to ask of the Alumni Network. I and 3 of my friends are tied up in a video competition on YouTube to gain as many hits as possible in a month; the subject being The Ramshackle Rally.
From sometime LSM graduate Tom Hill:
I created The Be Nice Project to simply spread some love and wish you and anyone who watches to have a nice day!

In organising the first ever Lincoln School of Media’s ‘Meet the Graduates’ event I have sourced a variety of content from our alumni – from graduation day photos and shots at work to interviews with us in the studio and on location. As part of my Masters [in digital media] I decided to experiment with convergence in some media technological areas I had not done before. After trying to squeeze a lot of practice into a short space of time here is my digital mash up to promote the AlumniFest on Wed 10 Nov 2010.

From Abby, at Nokia Push:
The deadline for Nokia Push N8 submissions has been extended to Friday 22 October 2010 at 6pm GMT.
We’ve been blown away by the variety and quality of the submissions we’ve received so far. But we had so many requests for more time to develop ideas that we decided to listen to the community and push the deadline back.
So, this means there’s still time to enter to win a prototype, Nokia N8 devices and a cool $1000 to cover your production costs.

Please submit your ideas and help us spread the word!
A few months ago we went on location with LSM graduates Nick Loven and Chris Roberts, not to mention Nick’s mum and Chris’ sister, costumier Pauline Loven – collectively Crow’s Eye Productions.
Based in Lincoln, Crow’s Eye specialises in Lincolnshire heritage, and earlier this year we caught up with them on a cold and misty day at Goltho Church near Wragby, rehearsing scenes inspired by Fiona Mountain’s novel “Lady of the Butterflies“. Nick and Chris reflected on their work:
